We service residential appliances only. A great deal of our work is in coastal homes built around premium built-in equipment — the kind of machine many repair companies will look at once and decline. That is the work we were built for.
Coastal towns we cover
Our service area runs from the tip of Kittery to Bath, just north of Sebago Lake, and west to the Maine–New Hampshire border. Along the coast that includes Kittery, Kittery Point, Eliot, York, York Harbor, York Beach, Cape Neddick, Ogunquit, Moody, Wells, Drakes Island, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Cape Porpoise, Biddeford, Biddeford Pool, Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Pine Point, Prouts Neck, Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth, South Portland, Portland, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick and Bath.
If your home sits just outside that line, call anyway. We can usually still come out; there is an out-of-area fee that covers the extra travel and the scheduling flexibility it takes to get there.
Brands we service
Out of warranty we service Bosch, Cove, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gaggenau, Miele, Speed Queen, Sub-Zero, Thermador and Wolf. Under manufacturer warranty contract we service those brands plus Fisher & Paykel.
That covers refrigerators, freezers, wine storage, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, ventilation, dishwashers, washers and dryers — including sealed system refrigeration work.
What happens after you call
Our office is open 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Once your service call is on the schedule, you will get a call the day before your appointment — after 1:00 pm and before we close — giving you a two-hour time frame for the following day. Windows fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Your technician arrives inside that window, and if an earlier call runs long you get a phone call in advance rather than a technician who simply turns up late.
Our service guarantee
Work we perform carries a 30-day service guarantee for non-members and 90 days for members, beginning when the service is performed and paid in full. Sealed system repairs are guaranteed for six months for non-members and one year for members. Part warranties are set by the manufacturer and vary, with 30 days being typical.
Licensed in Maine
Metropolitan Services, LLC holds a Maine business license and carries state gas and refrigeration licensing. That matters on the coast, where one house may have a gas range, a sealed-system built-in refrigerator and a wine unit all under the same roof.
