Metropolitan Services started off as a plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and all major appliance repair company. It was started by Donald Jones in Northeast D.C. in the 1950s. His company was the beginning of our third generation appliance service specialty.

Second generation

The company was handed down to his sons, Donnie Jones & Denny Jones. Along the way the brothers decided they loved each other enough to know they didn't want to operate a business together. They eventually broke off into two separate, successful businesses.

Just like his father before him, Donnie had two sons, Daniel and Micah, who he handed the family business down to. 

Third generation

My name is Daniel Jones. I am a third generation appliance repair technician. I grew up working in my grandfather’s and my father's shop. I spent 4+ years in the electrical services industry to learn electricity and increase my electrical diagnostic skills. I also practiced as a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor, which increased my knowledge of appliance installation and construction skills. I made the difficult decision to leave my brother to handle the appliances in the bustling city of Washington D.C., while my family and I sought the beauty and solace of Maine.
